UHS-II compatible microSD card connector ST50 Series has Been Launched by JAE electronics

JAE has developed the "ST50 Series" UHS-II compatible push-push type microSD card connector for compact devices that require removable storage medium such as smartphones, cameras, tablets and notebook PCs.


::Background / Product Outline

MicroSD cards are widely used as an external storage medium for compact devices. However, recently high-speed reading and writing requirements are increasing to allow storage of large images and 4K video files, and also to install and run apps (applications) on smartphones.


Due to the increasing user demand, microSD cards compatible with the memory card standard UHS-II with maximum data writing speed up to 312MB/s, are becoming widespread.


The ST50 Series UHS-II microSD card connector is also backwards compatible with UHS-I microSD cards, and other existing microSD cards.


This product has a structure that helps to dissipate heat while also being slim and compact which contributes to flexibility of design.


Furthermore, it features good operability with long card eject length.


JAE will continue card connector development pursuing improvement in customer value.

  • Compatible with microSD card Ultra High Speed data transfer standard UHS-II.
    (Backwards compatible with UHS-I microSD card and other existing microSD cards)

  • Includes card detection switch (normally-closed types)
  • Maintaining good operability with the long card eject length (3.0mm min.)
  • 8-point hold downs for heat-emission.
