 Recently, environmental regulations to prevent global warming have spread worldwide, and regulations on vehicles, such as the Chinese NEV (New Energy Vehicle) regulations and the ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) regulations in California, USA, have progressed. In order to comply with these regulations, the markets for environmentally friendly vehicles, such as EVs and PHEV, are growing.
In China, a high flame retardant rating is required for parts used in environmentally friendly vehicles to improve the reliability and safety.

To meet these needs, we have developed the MX84B Series, which uses UL94 V-0 compliant resin material with consideration for safety of environmentally friendly vehicles.

The MX84B Series is a product using highly flame-retardant materials for the insulator of our conventional MX34 Series, which is used in a wide variety of body-related ECUs for switches, sensors, BMS (Battery Management System), and others.

For this reason, the MX84B Series comes in the same form factor and dimensions as our conventional MX34 Series allowing for mating compatibility between the two series. The PCB foot pattern is also compatible so it can be used without changing board design.

We will continue to expand the line-up of products for environmentally friendly vehicles by expanding the variations of MX84B Series, including in-line connection types, and pin count variations that are currently being developed.
